Why is underfloor heating cost efficient?

You may be surprised to hear that underfloor heating is an efficient way to heat up your home, but we’re here to tell you why it reduces energy bills compared to a typical radiator system.

When using radiators, the heat from them doesn’t spread evenly around your home, meaning you get hot and cold spots. This means you are likely to turn your radiators up to eliminate cold spots, which causes it to overheat leading to very high heating bills. To avoid this, use underfloor heating which essentially turns your whole floor into a radiator, and this large surface area allows the rooms in your home to heat up quickly and at a much lower temperature.
